Beth and Cycle of Life Tour
This is my second year riding with the Cycle of Life Tour - something I have wanted to do for years and never thought attainable. After losing 80 poounds, I set to train with the Country Grocer Spinners and accomplished the close to 200 km ride. I made good new friends, participated in a great community cause and fell in love with Cycling. Soon sfter the 2018 ride, I finisheded Tour de Victoria and several other long bike rides with my husband and new cycling friends.
2019 Fundraising Project:
I have always been fortunate to have thick curly hair and after witnessing close family members and friends lose their hair to cancer treatments, I decided that I wanted to share my fortune of beautiful hair. Two years ago I cut off all of the color in my hair and started growing my hair completely natural. I currently have grown 21 inches of hair (root to tip) and far exceeds what I can manage - it is time to cut it all off! The decision to where the fundraising money would go was easy - local hospice care. With your donations my local hospice will receive 100% of the money to support patients and their families. I will also donate my hair to BC Children's hospital with the goal of a sick child getting a full head of curly brown hair!
